American Express and Silverstein Properties finalized a long-anticipated agreement for AmEx to become the sole anchor tenant at 2 World Trade Center, occupying 55 floors of the nearly 2 million-square-foot office tower planned at 200 Greenwich Street in Lower Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and scheduled for completion in 2031, the building will serve as AmEx's new global headquarters, relocating from 200 Vesey Street (AmEx's home since 1986) and housing 10,000 employees. The deal was brokered by Cushman & Wakefield for AmEx, CBRE for Silverstein, and JLL/Savills for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
