TSMC Acquires 900 Acres in North Phoenix for $197M to Expand Semiconductor Campus

TSMC Arizona acquired 900 acres of state trust land near Loop 303 and Interstate 17 in North Phoenix from the Arizona State Land Department for $197.25 million at a public auction on January 7, 2026. The purchase expands TSMC's north Phoenix footprint to roughly three square miles in support of its up to $165 billion planned investment in Arizona, which will ultimately include six advanced chip fabrication plants, two packaging facilities, and an R&D center. The land is part of the NorthPark development area and is adjacent to TSMC's existing semiconductor campus.
