Redical, the tech-enabled retail real estate owner-operator co-founded by Mikko Syrjanen and Petteri Barman, has acquired Merry Hill for approximately £290 million, significantly below its pre-pandemic peak valuation. The asset had been listed for sale in September 2025 at approximately £250 million, suggesting the final price reflected competitive interest. The transaction represents one of the largest UK shopping centre deals in recent years and marks a new chapter for one of the Midlands' most significant retail destinations following its post-Intu recovery. Redical (Finnish-founded real estate owner-operator; expanding UK retail portfolio); Miles Dunnett and Russell Downs (directors of the Merry Hill holding entities; sellers and restructuring experts); Sovereign Centros from CBRE (outgoing asset manager); Savills (outgoing property manager); Knight Frank (sales agent). Financing terms not publicly disclosed.
