Waverleygate is an A-listed Italian Renaissance-style building dating to 1865, originally the General Post Office, and now a prime Edinburgh office building across eight floors, with landscaped roof gardens, gym, and parking. The sale was described in reporting from early to mid January 2026, with completion confirmed by Lismore Real Estate Advisors' Q1 2026 Scotland report as the largest transaction of the quarter at approximately £78 million. Melford Capital is a specialist real estate investor focused on prime city assets. Kennedy Wilson, the US-listed global real estate company, acquired Waverleygate in 2022 for £78 million and is now exiting after approximately four years of ownership. Not publicly disclosed.
